Senior Product Manager

We are the Microsoft 365 (M365) Service Delivery Platform team, owning experimentation and configuration system that is used by 1000s of services within Microsoft with the highest reliability, high availability and provides safety guard rails to all our services as they rollout new changes. You will be responsible for delivering a large-scale safety, agility and reliability capabilities while ensuring safe and , delivering on our vision of a build and validation pipeline limited only by a developer’s imagination. Responsibilities We are looking for a PM who: • Has a deep empathy for end customers and is obsessed about ensuring no outages for our end-customers. • Driven and passionate for engineering agility enabling engineers to release and measure the quality of their changes as they rollout with confidence. • Has worked in multiple cross group situations and can drive prioritized requirements to teams across Microsoft. • Can develop long range plans that are aspirational yet plausible while at the same time can execute on towards the objective of the plans effectively. • Communicate effectively to stakeholders, SLT, and teams across divisions on plans and changes. • Interact with multiple engineering teams for project requirements and provide scope and focus in a milestone. • Help drive technology decisions to align with Microsoft’s higher initiatives and goals. Qualifications Required Qualifications: • A BS in a technical discipline (CS, CompE, EE, Math, IS) or 4 additional years of industry experience • A minimum of 3 years of previous technical program management or engineering experience required • Experience establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams. Preferred Qualifications • Experience building (vs just using) large scale validation pipelines, especially ones used on microservices and containers. • Proven track record in developing and shipping software or services; experience with shared platforms or services is preferred • Demonstrated collaboration skills that require influencing peers and leaders to embrace best practices and align to engineering goals • Experience as a product, or program manager with building user experience, developing safety guardrails for change management, and experience with safely rolling out changes for cloud services. • Coordinates and collaborates well with multiple partners in different time zones Microsoft is an equal opportunity employer.
